Faisal works primarily in Urdu poetry where he has written most of his poems. “Ghalib” as a surname suggests that he is heavily influenced by the poet, Mirza Ghalib, in his real life as well as in this fictional world of poetry. He is becoming an inspiration for the youth of the valley. Laila, Kismat, Akhri Alfaz are the most famous works of poets. Faisal was born in Handwara town of Kupwara district of North Kashmir, he started his schooling from Sunrise Public School Handwara. Faisal was very fond of writing since childhood. He Started writing poetries from 6th standard, he developed his taste, first reading poetry, then writing. Faisal is currently studying at Government Degree College, Handwara, where he is pursuing B.Sc in non-medical stream. Faisal has participated in many poetry competitions and recitals in the said college. In a recent conversation with Faisal, he revealed to us that he is planning to publish his first book titled “Dastan_e_Mohhabat”.
